Eliza Cho is a violinist with the Pennsylvania Ballet orchestra, the Reading Symphony Orchestra, and the Sarasota Opera. She also performs with Opera Philadelphia, the Philly Pops, Academy of the Vocal Arts, Chamber Orchestra First Edition, Delaware Symphony, and the Ocean City Pops. In the past, she has served as the Associate Concertmaster of the Ash Lawn Opera and Principal Second Violin with the Allentown Symphony Orchestra. Her past summers were spent participating in the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival in Germany and their European Tour, New Hampshire Music Festival, Utah Festival Opera, and the Verbier Festival Orchestra in Switzerland and their Europe-Asia Tour under the direction of James Levine. Eliza holds a bachelors and masters degree from DePaul University in Chicago and Manhattan School of Music in NYC respectively.
Aside from classical music, Eliza has performed with icons such as Julie Andrews, the late Luther Vandross, Richard Marx, REO Speedwagon, Ben Folds, and many others. She has also recorded for Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Pink, FUN, Mary J. Blige/Musiq Soulchild, T.I./Justin Timberlake, and Obama’s CD “Change is Now: Renewing America’s Promise”. Eliza is a committed teacher and enjoys celebrating weddings and other special events through her music. When she is not working, she enjoys outdoor activities and volunteering at hospitals.
