About Liudmila
Liudmila Ivanova has over 25 years of international harp performance experience. She holds a Master’s degree in Harp from the St. Petersburg Conservatory in Russia. Her primary teacher at the Conservatory was Tatiana Tauer – one of the greatest Russian harpists of the 20th century.
Ms. Ivanova has performed in over 4000 symphony concerts, opera and ballet performances, and as a soloist in symphony and chamber concerts. She had the privilege of performing as Principal Harpist at St. Petersburg Opera Theatre for 17 years. She was a member of the Mariinsky Theatre for six years as well as the St.Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra and other orchestras.
Ms. Ivanova performed in the orchestras with such known conductors as Evgeny Mravinsky, Mariss Jansons, Evgeny Svetlanov, Emil Tchakarov, Yuri Temirkanov, and Valery Gergiev. She has performed with theatres and orchestras in many countries including the USA, Germany, Spain, Finland, Sweden, Switzerland, Israel, Latvia, Lithuania, France, Holland, and Belgium.
Ms. Ivanova has more than 30 years of teaching experience. Recently she has moved to New Jersey and maintains a teaching studio for students to study harp and piano.
She has diverse experience in playing for events, including weddings, parties, church services, and many more where harp music can delight.
