Meet our friend, thereminist Kip Rosser.
If you’ve never heard of the Theremin, words fall short of describing the sight. Imagine a person standing in front of a harmless looking box. Then, using only a series of hand movements in the empty air, music begins to fill the room. It sounds like a violin, or is it a cello? Or, is it the voice of a woman singing? It’s the theremin: grandfather of all electronic instruments, and it’s the only instrument in world that’s played without being touched.
For twenty years, Kip Rosser’s solo performances, staged productions, award-winning compositions, educational programs and industry recognition have earned him a reputation as one of the most accomplished thereminists in the world. And he lives right here in Morrisville, Pennsylvania!
More detailed information about Kip and his accomplishments
No stranger to weddings, Kip routinely plays background music during receptions and cocktail hours. In addition he is always willing to play songs requested by the wedding party.
In solo performances, he typically moves beyond a standard recital format, making for a unique event that combines music (ranging from classical to jazz to popular) with stories and performance art, continually pushing the boundaries of what the theremin can play and do.
