About Dario
Dario Oliveira Santos is a distinguished violinist, violist, and Suzuki teacher passionate about performance and education. He holds degrees in music performance from the University of São Paulo and the São Paulo State School of Music. Dario also completed the prestigious Nicholls State Conservatory program and is currently pursuing his doctoral degree at the University of Memphis.
As a seasoned orchestral musician, Dario has performed with these ensembles, including the Delta Symphony Orchestra, Helena Symphony Orchestra, Jackson Symphony Orchestra, São Paulo Youth Orchestra, Guarulhos Youth Orchestra, São Paulo University Chamber Orchestra, and University of São Paulo Orchestra. He was an active member of the Cromos String Quartet for 3 years, formed by Marcelo Jaffé, a violist of Quarteto Municipal de São Paulo.
Dario is equally dedicated to music education. His teaching experience spans the Suzuki Music School of São Paulo, Unasp Music School, Waldorf School of São Paulo. I had founded a String Program at Lipman Early Learning Research Center, also he is leading the String program at the University of Memphis Campus School. He emphasizes the Suzuki philosophy, fostering a nurturing environment for students and promoting parental involvement in learning.
Beyond traditional teaching, Dario is developing a dynamic string program that includes online lessons for students worldwide. His passion and enthusiasm for teaching are creating a significant impact on the community, inspiring students and fostering a love for music across generations.
